Product Placement AwardZ

Here is the list of the Product Placement Awards 2004. nJoy(via)

  • Brandcameo's 2004 Award for Overall Product Placement: Pepsi (for being in the maX no. of top filmZ)
  • Brandcameo Lifetime Achievement Award for Product Placement: Apple (for its ubiquitous presence in a cross-section of genres including dramas to tween flicks)
  • The "E.T." Reese's Award for Achievement in Press Coverage: "I, Robot" and Audi
  • Brandcameo Award for Achievement by an Oscar Nominated Film: "Sideways"
  • The "The Coca-Cola Kid" Award for Achievement in Title: "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle"
  • The "Forrest Gump" Award for Achievement in Reverse Product Placement: "Napoleon Dynamite" (we know this story atleast. the bubba gump shrimp thingie turned frm fiKtion to reality; similarly the demand for a t-shirt featured in the movie 'Napolean dynamite' brought in huge profits for t-shirts)
  • The Photoshop Award for Achievement in Revisionism: "Spider-Man 2" (k, now this is real teKKy n Kool. what if the brand placed in ur movie exists only in one Kountry?? holla. u sell the rights to another product eXisting there n alter the scenes digitally to bring the other product. that was what was done in spideey-2, where Dr. Pepper dint have an overseas marKet. so the overseas rights were sold to Mirinda n the scenes digitally altered to replace dr. pepper with mirinda)
